From India to Canada: A New Beginning

In December 2019, Kamini and Ravi Srivastava relocated from India to Canada to be nearer to their children. They arrived just before the COVID-19 pandemic, which upended job markets worldwide. Despite these challenges, Kamini’s 30 years of culinary expertise, combined with Ravi’s business acumen and their son Pallav’s skills as an executive chef, paved the way for a new venture: The Indian Aroma Kitchen.
Starting as a takeout service, their authentic flavors quickly gained popularity, leading to the creation of four establishments, including two food trucks at the Outlet Collection Mall.

The Birth of Taash

Listening to their loyal patrons’ desire for a cozy dining experience, the Srivastava family opened Taash Indian Restaurant and Bar on October 26, 2023. This space was designed to be both welcoming and aesthetically pleasing, marking a significant achievement in their journey.

Overcoming Adversity

The road to success was not without hurdles. A year-long road closure soon after Taash ‘s opening tested their perseverance. Tragically, Ravi was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and passed away in August 2024. Despite these challenges, Kamini and Pallav continue to honor Ravi’s dream, keeping it alive with determination.
